Goals of Our Program:
• Encourage the child’s awareness of the love of God
• Provide an environment that fosters a sense of security and well-being

• Encourage development of small and large motor skills

The Program:
The preschool provides a daily enrichment program offering morning and afternoon sessions from September through June. The preschool is closed the months of July and August.
For your convenience, we follow the Newport Mesa Unified School District calendar. The curriculum is designed to provide a well-balanced early childhood educational experience in all areas of growth.
Our program includes:

• Physical exercise (indoors and outdoor)

• Dramatic play
• Art creativity

• Science and nature
• Cooking
• Perceptual skills
• Reading and math readiness
• Beginning sign language introduced
• Christmas and Spring Programs
• Teacher-to-student ratio that exceeds state requirements
• Monthly Newsletter, activities calendar, and curriculum provided
• Spring graduation ceremony for Pre Kindergarten and Jr. Kindergarten students
Daily Schedule
Children are taught at their own level of development and are not expected to perform any task for which they are not ready.
The daily program includes not only group time but also uninterrupted individual time. Adults serve as guides and provide individual help whenever needed.
Active times are followed by quiet activities to promote a healthy environment. Nutritional snacks are provided for the children in both the morning and afternoon sessions.
A.M. Schedule:
8:30 – 8:50 AM Students arrive: Greeting and worship in Sanctuary
8:50 – 9:30 Walk to Classrooms: Group time: Person of the day, calendar, weather, songs, Bible story and prayer
9:30 – 11:00 Individual Exploration Time: Learning Centers
11:00 – 11:25 Small group interaction: Transition, stories, movement, snack
11:25 – 11:55 Outside Activities
11:55 – 12:00 Walk to Sanctuary – Closing songs and prayer
12:00 Dismissal
P.M. Enrichment Schedule:
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch (provided by parents)
12:30 – 1:00 Playground
1:00 – 1:30 Quiet Time
1:30 – 2:25 Enrichment Time
2:25 – 2:30 Walk to Sanctuary
2:30 Dismissal
